Removable and Repositionable Adhesive Solutions

Adhesives that can be repositioned or removed are used for many applications including graphics films, flexographic plate mounting, Point-of-Purchase (POP) displays and general mounting. The specific requirements are as varied as the applications themselves. Depending on the application, they must allow a user to reposition a product or material during the initial application or remove it cleanly once it has reached the end of its use. 

For these applications, Avery Dennison Performance Polymers offers a portfolio of specially designed pressure-sensitive adhesives, including solvent-based, toluene-free repositionable adhesives. Adhesives offering short-term repositionability are designed with low tack and slow adhesion build up to allow for temporary repositioning of product or material during application. Whereas long-term removable adhesives are engineered with low peel for easy removal from 1 to 60 days with no adhesive residue.

In addition to standard adhesives, applications often require specifically formulated adhesives. Working closely with our customers, our scientists and engineers can quickly adjust existing adhesive platforms or develop new polymer systems to address the most complex challenges.
